
Julia Klimek and Darwin Prakash - Devotion
Darwin Prakash, who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, London, with a Masterâs in Performance, and an Advanced Diploma in Opera, is a prominent Indian Baritone. A recipient of the Queen's Commendation for Excellence Award at the Royal Academy of Music in London (RAM), the Gus Christie Award at Glyndebourne Opera, and a past winner of National Mozart Competition in the UK, he was recently elected as the Associate of RAM in recognition of his contribution to Western Classical Music and Opera. He has also performed at the Royal Opera House, Mumbai, the London Handel Festival, the Waterperry Opera Festival, Opera Holland Park and Clonter Opera.
Equally adept in both the concert and recital worlds, Darwin has performed the Songs of War recital at St. James' Church, Piccadilly, the Finzi Bluthner Recital at Guernsey, and as a soloist for Beethoven's 9th Symphony at Marlborough College and Handel's Messiah at Arundel Cathedral.
Polish-born pianist Julia Klimek, a recent First Prize winner in the Piano Category at the Wales International Piano Festival, was described as âflamboyantâ by âThe Guardianâ following her debut at the world-renowned Wigmore Hall.
Ms Klimekâs performances have resonated internationally and have captivated audiences in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Canada and the Czech Republic, amongst others.
Since September 2023, she has served as the Artistic Director of The Musicians of London, an ensemble that brings together outstanding young professional musicians from across the globe. A passionate educator, she is a member of the Junior Royal Academy of Music teaching staff.
